True...doubt the tank and pump is only going to last 5 years though. Most of our smaller tanks are 20 plus. Long time to net whatever savings are available.

The point is, I may be on the wrong side of one load but odds are I won’t be on the next load. With excess storage capacity, or even decreased acres in the future, one can attempt to buy at seasonal lows to maximize the return. May not always work but the one thing it does give you (much like grain storage) is flexibility. Shop suppliers, finagle timing of purchases and delivery or simply eliminate unknowns for the production season/year.
