| I know exactly how you feel. I'm sure most farmers who have been at it for a while have had very similiar circumstances. When this happens to me, I start asking myself a list of questions so that I can come to peace without driving myself crazy over what could have been.
1. Do I have enough to pay the bills and keep everyone in my family fed and clothed (YES)
2. Am I healthy (YES)
3. Do I enjoy the work I am doing (YES)
4. Would that new 8RX tractor really have made me a happier person (No)
5. Has God blessed me beyond measure with my wife, children, neighbors, friends, and life that he has given me (YES)
All of a sudden missing out on a dollar or 2 a bushel seems very insignificant and I can go back to work with a smile on my face, knowing how blessed I am. And there's always next year!!
