As others noted probably a Canadian thing but also in Mennonite areas in the US.
History is it was first developed in Perth County Ontario
There is still a Crokinole championship held in Tavistock which is on the border of Perth and Oxford Counties

We have a board and I think our grandkids all have boards.
They play it here when visiting for holiday celebrations.

Will attach a pic of a board
Can play 2 people or 4 with 2 teams

Shoot a crokinold button and sink a 20 but when you miss then you button can be removed by opposition and when all have shot all the buttons score is counted by all buttons still on board plus and 20ies that set aside as they happen
