Through most of human history, a majority of there time was spent simply on survival. Once man figured out how to mass produce and distribute food, he finally had time for other ventures. Thus the industrial and eventually technology explosions of the last 150 years or so.
So correct , other than a few 'rich' farmers the rest was survival mode until at least after WW 11,,,,like others said , life really improved from '60's on (here anyways) |
