As bb940 already mentioned, what is your plan for vol ww? Well there isn't one if it gets out of hand and in chaff trails it will drastically reduce your alfalfa stand or can about kill it unless you did a super job of combining. It is definitely best to just seed alfalfa now, deal with the wheat and seed grass in next August.





Tom; we took Winter wheat off July 13, got straw off, on 17th field cultivated and direct seeded alfalfa on small field got nice rain next day. Almost 3 weeks later got very nice stand of alfalfa along with windrows of v ww. Plan is/was to harvest it first of September to set back v ww. Or should we spray v ww, then leave alfalfa alone to next spring?
