| Ohio here, so take it for what it's worth.
We are in the abnormally dry (D0) and going through pollination right now. My early corn is fully pollinated and somewhere from 170-220 potential depending on kernel fill. Our APH is 170. Our sand content is damn near zero. We raise great corn on dryer years, just keep a little water in front of us as needed. That's with CECs of 15 and OM of 3. I can't imagine how much easier it is with CECs of 30 and OM of 5+. | |
