I rented a farm that way once.
The door was open and I walked in. food was in the cupboards and cloths were in he closet.
I think when the bank pulled the plug he figured he would leave them every thing he had.
The sad part was the entity that repoed the farm wouldn't allow any one to live in the house. Needless to say the house got pretty much trashed.
