NE NEBRASKA | My town has or had cheap wealthy folks that built houses in town like in the 1970s but didn't move into town until 25+ years later. Actually one couple died before they moved to town. Another couple started staying in town in the past 20 years because the heat quit at farm house. They're too cheap to pay $75 water bill so they were stealing water from neighbors and than nursing home. Eventually they were bringing buckets of water in from the farm. They'd stop by local service station all the time for free air check & coffee. Station guy started charging a quarter, the couple never returned. After a fight with the city they moved back out to the farm. | |
