southern MN | My church is dealing with the priest and boys issue.
They just settled a bankruptcy and settlement over it, part of which was selling off a 4.5 acre piece of land in town, with utilities available right up to the property, housing on 3 sides. It got sold to a land developer in town for $50,000. The realtor signs came up with a ‘sold’ on them, there is some family connections between the church, the realtor, and the developer. The developers are now offering duplex lots for $125,000 bare off of the 4.5 acres, I think they have 24 available?
Very hard to tithe into such a situation.
It’s hard to look favorably at the church with all those issues, I’m all for forgiveness but that has to come from within too and I’m just scratching my head if anyone really does care at all about anyone, even my church raises more questions than comfort.
