Subject: RE: Cover crop peas in 60” Corn

North Central Illinois
Iron Archer pretty well covered it. Straight 60" rows cost me ~15% yield two years ago. Last year didn't get a good plot in.

I'm after grazing value, soil health, and N for next year. My 5 acre plot is fenced and behind the sheep barn, so I can turn ewes out as soon as the corn comes off.

If I can get a decent yield on the squash reliably I may well try to hit the fresh market scene with that crop. Gotta be more than just me who likes to bake organic butternut squash.
