Sure the insurance is subsidized but most normal working folks have to do what optimizes their return if they want to stay in business, as long as it is legal. Most folks who make most of their profit off insurance are criminals i believe. Government insurance program need reform , like flood insurance that bears no resemblance to flood risk. Of course many of us believe these kinds of waste are the inevitable consequence of big government programs.
