Scranton | Here's my thought...my son has been making me money while working for $15/hr plus some benefits for years. If he found some farmland on his own, he'd still be making me money when he worked for me. Like I said, I've been doing it for my brother who was helping me for a wage when I first started farming and still is...He is slowly building up his own line of equipment.
I'd much rather see my son get a solid base under him than to teach him a lesson on how crappy our returns are farming. Isn't that why we work how we do, so we can support our family? I started with squat...had to buy equipment as I went and build an operation. If I can give him a boost, I'm gonna do it. It ain't like I'm spoiling him with this. | |
