| Thank you for everybody who replied. Gave me a ton of things to think about. I did start out farming on my own with a little bit of money help from my dad., but that was it. I am only 56 but started out with less then 6000 dollars worth of equipment. My son works full time (ag releated) and can run anything we have around here, however trying to teach him the paperwork side of things as well as everything else that goes on around the farm. Fun fact - - he is already worrying about some of his beans being drowned out with the rain we have had. Glad to see he is thinking ahead and what decisions to make. PS we are STO farmers. | |
