This story is out of the book "The Salt Fix". A toddler was always grabbing the salt shaker and refused to eat food without liberal salt on it. He had an insatiable appetite for salt. Parents were concerned so went to the doctor. Doctor took him off salt and he died two weeks later. Come to find out he had a rare disease that caused the kidneys to not be able to retain salt and thus not maintain the correct salt level in the blood. The kid knew what he needed as his body told him so by craving salt. The doctor obviously did not know what he needed and he died. Point is, sometimes the body is telling us things by cravings (and other times cravings just tell us we have an addiction). Great read. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=the+salt+fix+by+dr+james+dinicolantonio&crid=2RAB8ZQF0YTVB&sprefix=the+salt+fix+james+din%2Caps%2C199&ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_22 If you don't have time to read, get it on audio books and listen while driving. Works great. John
