Subject: RE: Hot water recirculating pump

Le Sueur VIA St.Thomas
Thanks all,

I'm using a Laing low flow pump designed for this purpose. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004BN1YUC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?s... I'm going to locate it at the water heater.

I have a home automation controller with lots of smart devices and will incorporate this as well. I can monitor the temperature of the water (copper pipe, actually) at the sink and turn the pump on and off at certain tamps to avoid any unnecessary recirculating. If, for example, the washing machine or dishwasher is running, the pump won't need to. I'm also hooking it up to a smart outlet controlled by motion sensors around the house. It will not run most nights, but will start up for a random slumber party if we ever get overt this coronavirus, (or the midnight snacks if we don't) ;^)

Good luck -jim
