| It isn't a meat contamination issue, It is a workers safety issue and a supply chain interuption issue. I can envision entire 1200 head finishing barns filled with 300 pound hogs and no place to go with it. On top of that a contract that stipulates you have to take delivery of 75 pound hogs from the weaning barns. That only place to go is out to a dirt lot just to keep the supply chain going. It is the best situation for a corn and soybean grower since feed usage will sky rocket. But, our supply chains are so tight. We are talking weekly tight supply chain interuptions. We as a country eacted a kann ban systen (just in time) developed by the Japanese since the 80's when they where the lowest price competition and kicking our rears in manufacturing. We as a nation enacted our everyday lives including our food supply system on that model, and it is going to get strained considerably.
