South Central MN | Is this premium for one or two people? Keep in mind that when you start needing help (hopefully never!), there is a period of time you will pay out of pocket before ltc kicks in. As someone already stated, check your daily limit. I take care of my in-laws finances. Their assisted living monthly bill went up this year because of needing more care. Now at $4400/month, my mother-in-law is at the max her ltc policy will pay. My father-in-law is now at $4650, so he will pay $250/month out of pocket. Also check to see if you have a waiver of premium benefit. They have that, which means while they are receiving benefits because of living in an assisted living or nursing home, they do not have to pay their premium. | |
