I am just now watching Suzie Orman on PBS. She said if you can afford the premium to keep paying into it because the premium total for most people is less than 1 yr of long term care in a rest home. So anything beyond 1 yr. is worth the risk, altho the average stay in a facility is only 3 yrs for males and 5 yrs for females!
