Subject: RE: Long Term Care

Mid Michigan
Exactly right about the term life insurance Boone. I've had a $50,000 dollar whole life since 1990 that's made 4% and has built up a pretty decent cash value and costs me $30 a month. I know people will say dumbest investment ever, Dave Ramsey hates it. Hasn't been my dumbest investment by a long shot! Anyway I got a offer from my credit union the other day and for $50,000 in my age group 55-59 for term insurance (if I'm approved probably not) would fall into a price range of $86.50 a month. Much higher than the premium I locked in 30 years ago. Any substantial amount of term insurance after the age of $50 is fairly pricy. And if you get it when you're young and it's cheap it doesn't last. That's why they call it term, because it's for a certain term and that's it.
