Subject: RE: Wabash River Rats ... take cover

We are pretty much at the begining of the Wabash river here. It actualy starts I believe in Ohio as an overflow creek. I know it is much larger when it gets to you in the western and southern parts of the state but it can be enough of a mess here. In 03 it was a disaster here. Only time the flooding was worse was 1913. The way we build around rivers is a terrible mistake. Bridge designs are almost like dams in places. We can't seem to understand water movement and how important it is. I will stop now before I get on my soapbox................

We had somewhere around 4 inches of rain Sunday morning here, in pretty short time. I had water standing in places where I've never seen it before. Roads are full in places of fodder, ditches are a mess in lots of places. Looks like another strong storm later tonight. Its still 63 degrees here as of 10:30 and is supposed to be changing rapidly when it does. You've got much more water heading your way. Good luck.
