Rivers, MB | Lots of reasons - in no particular order
1. Get to run your own show - not working for someone else
2. Get to work outside alot of the time
3. Often do something different every day
4. Great way to raise a family and work together with extended family- how many parents can take their kids along with them to work
5. Very rewarding (or very non-rewarding!!) in many different ways
6. Has been very good financially for us - we've been fortunate to have numerous very good crops (coinciding w/ good prices the last 2 years)
7. No other job lets you smell fresh dirt being turned in spring and the smell of a freshly harvested wheat field
8. Its in my blood.
9. Hard too imagine doing anything else - I could (engineering degree) but don't want to be doing anything else.
