Subject: Re: Why do you Farm?

Martinsville, Ohio
Lately I have been wondering but I always wanted to, always have and pretty much enjoyment. The huge financial swing sure threw things in a mess. Living off $2.50 corn was actually easier.

I love soil and plants, watching crops grow, nurturing them into a profit, trying things to make that even better, trying to figure out how to do more with less.

I think every farmer my age loved tractors as a child. Machinery is a big draw. Or livestock for the livestock farmer or both.

I love walking our fields with my wife, children and grandchildren. Helping a little grandchild pull off an ear of corn is really cool.

People who understand farming just make more sense because they are so near creation.
