southwestern illinois | another idea for you....weld an angle ring to the side of the bin before you cut it. then cut it... yes, we used a "torch" kind of crazy but we dug anything smoldering out with a gloved hand ( i guess we were not smart enough to use a power tool!) however the angle ring gives you the option to quickly shut off the grain flow or simply slow it down.... yes we had a cap for the angle ring. the angle ring was large enough to install an auger later. i have these on an old commercial grain system that has stiffeners in the inside.. good luck | |
