I would not worry about bin splitting. Do not cut at a seam I would cut in the middle of the sheet. I have a grain vac so cut the hole big enough to run the vac tube in and do not worry about fire, any that catches fire will fall out the bin not stay in it. Then I have a 10' tube that we push in as far as possible and start vaccing. That way we are not pulling from the edge. Once vac is running it is pretty easy to keep pushing tube in farther. I connect an end tube with vent to the end of the long tube pushed into bin to get air into system.
