With our 568 I used to run 1600-1700 and go as fast as the pickup would take it, could make cornstalk bales in 63 seconds. Now I'm running a NH BR7070 and absolutely hate it, finally figured out I have to have the tractor wound tight 1950-2100 rpm and can only move about 4.5mph. Personal best with the NH is 27 bales an hour and I'm ready to trade it back although it makes beautiful bales.
27 bales/hr? You must have something wrong.I took a step back in time yesterday and ran a 7070. 9-10mph wound tight 55-58 bales per hour. Heavy fescue raked with a R2800 Vermeer, big windrows.
