Tie at 1600 rpm, about 400 pto rpm. Good balance between fuel consumption and enough power to pull hills without lugging the engine and not stripping the leaves off of legumes. Can still run up to about 8 mph on smooth fields and light windrows and still get all of the windrow cleaned up.
