Corn looks better with fertilizer on the planter. That keeps the landlord happy. Test strips where operator forgot to turn on the fertilizer indicate no consistent positive results. Probably related to pollinating at different times. We would never consider not having fertilizer on the planter in Northwest Ohio cold wet soils. 100 lb 28% and 100 lb 10-34-0 blend. Better early plant health, even if it does not increase yield.
