Subject: RE: Waterway grass

Floyd County, Iowa
Not enough fall from road ditch to drainage ditch to deepen it, without a lift station, and that isn't going to happen.
I understand about the grass stopping soil loss- I seeded 60 ft buffer strips along both sides of the drainage ditch 12 years ago, about 2 miles worth.
I simply had a question about hay quality, as I raised hogs, and never had anything to do with hay, other than riding the rack and stacking it in the hay mows, helping others bale theirs.
It is mostly brome, so thanks.
