Not trying to hijack the thread but to answer Dougk. The vigor is about the same maybe slightly less the quality is usually better the higher the yield due to less bug damage. And as far as nitrogen we side dress around 125# of actual on popcorn where on regular corn gets 175#. We usually put 50# extra potash on popcorn as stalks tend to be somewhat weaker. This is for yellow theater quality popcorn.
