Central/Northeast Missouri
DougK,

Last year we applied 50lbs at sidedress time with a coulter machine, 60lbs with y-drop at chest high, and another 30lbs through the irrigation system. This year since most of it is dry land I threw out 100lbs of urea before I disked and will topdress with 40lbs of urea in most places.

When I was purchasing seed this year my supplier was bragging about a variety they had in Nebraska that went 7,000 pounds to the acre. If you weighed popcorn at 65# bushel that would be around 107 bushel/acre. Mine made around 3,500 pound/acre last year.
Popping quality is great!
