NW VA | Thanks for all the replys. I suppose HP support might have to be the next step. Seems to me its more likely to be a power supply or motherboard issue rather than fan/heat since it often won't start at all or just for a few seconds like it's doing this evening. Some attempts result in just a few quick squeaks from inside. Think my battery is probably junk, but on AC power it acts the same whether the battery's intalled or not. Also occasionally when it's running it seems like shutdown can be triggered with movement of the computer, but usually happens even when sitting still. | |
