It depends on if you are just talking about the basic grain transaction. as in, coop buys from you then hedges grain for future sale (carry) or immediately sells grain to processor, feed, mill , export, ethanl. The problem with this is IF this transaction profit is enough to cover employee costs, repairs, taxes, utilities, etc. I was on a coop board for a while. It is a tough business with thin margins.
