| Local elevator man once told me:We make good money piling soybeans.
Back in the day with piled corn rotting they finally learned the Piles all need to be covered.
At that time they were piling soybeans and were surprised that not much had rotted. In fact he said they picked up thousands of more bushels than they bought/piled.
A simple moisture increase.(9%to12%)
I would not try this at home…
