I own roughly 2/3 and rent 1/3.
It's a mixed bag for me. What I own is tighter poorly drained up ground.....part of what I rent is much more fertile bottom ground that produces better.
My rented ground always yields more.
Also, I've farmed my rental ground for many years, some for over 40, so I've cared for it like it was my own.
happier on owned ground or rented ground?
