West of Lincoln a little bit | All the people chastising you for bringing this up need to remember that most of the fertilizer still needs to be applied and a giant chunk of the corn belt needs to dry out a long time before anything can happen. I'm extremely worried we won't get planted on time, and for some that means not at all. It's WET. and Snowy. And we have all spring fieldwork yet to do, whereas we would normally have quit a bit already done. With the cold cloudy days its going to take weeks to dry out enough to even think about the fieldwork. It's a good thing planting rigs are bigger, cause there's a lot more work to do this year. Flooding risks aren't helpful either.
This is a legitimate issue and is one of the few things that can still trigger a planting rally. |
