Northwest Iowa | We have several adopted kids. One has never met her birth mother or father. During her rebellious years, she would claim she anted to find them and head their way. I said as soon as she turned 18 I would help her. After she turned 18, never heard that again. The rest all came from their birth families. One has a very edited view of what life was like, there. Resents us for taking him even though his mother had a substance problem and his dad had serious brain injuries. Daughter has learning disabilities and have always wondered if there was "more to the story" than what we were told in the adoption process. | |
