NE SD | My parents adopted my Mom's brother's child years ago when he was a newborn, now age 45. He was much younger than me so I never even lived under the same roof as he did. He had a good relationship with his bio dad, bio mom died shortly after his birth. He has connected with his siblings from that relationship but pretty much does his own thing now.
My other brother and his wife adopted her daughter's baby as the daughter knew she could not raise a baby. My niece is now 24 and a wonderful young lady. She has a great relationship with my brother and his wife (who technically is her grandmother) but she also has a relationship with her bio mom who she has always just regarded as her older sister. | |
