South Central MN | Thanks, wasn't sure how some of that all worked out. A couple years ago a canning company I worked for sent the crew I was on to pick organic peas, they did better than what most of us were expecting, and what grassy weeds were in the field didn't get all tore up and go through the pea combines like they had in the past. Only one field had a giant ragweed problem, so overall did alright. Noticed a couple farms had livestock themselves but didn't know how the others would have provided nutrients/fertility to the ground beyond cover crops. So as long as nothing gets added to the manure before it gets spread then it should be ok. | |
