NW Iowa | This is not a house but last summer we put up a 20X40 pole shed. It wasn't long till i got a form letter with a picture of the building taken from the road from the assessor wanting to know the measurements, whether or not it had electricity and water. I filled it out and sent it in. simple as that! On the funny side, we have moved a portable building around twice and afterward got a letter asking about the 'new' building from the assessor each time. A visit to the courthouse each time solved it and they were real nice about it. My son plans to move it to another location on the farmstead again this coming summer so I will probably get another letter from the assessor. | |
