It is easy. just go to the assessor office and nicely ask them to show that they can or cannot access your house. I thinking your building a really nice house. Probably nicer then the rest in the area. also might stop at the police dept and ask them.
Iowa state statute allows for and requires property assessment . . . . . The local police or Sherriff isn't going to get involved or off help.
