Subject: RE: Buffer zones ???

southern MN
Those of us in Minnesota get to create and maintain 16 or 50 foot buffers on our dime and still apparently pay full property taxes on the buffer required on any farm land touching a man made ditch or stream. This is to support the pheasant hunting friends of our former Cities governor.

There was zero science or brains behind this, most ditches in this part of the state were dug out of flat ground and the spoils created raised lips on each side of the ditch. Originally the Governor pushed for a 50 foot buffer everywhere, it was shot down in the legislature and then at 10:00pm on the last day of the session after hours this mess got passed anyhow in a sneak attack.it took initial effect last November.

I’m sure you will hear a lot more from those of us in MN.

Paul
