Went 24 last year. I absolutely hate all the end rows. Going back to 16 this year. Way too much time spent at the other end of the field carting corn back. 3600
Just do 24 rows for headlands, as you turn sharp enough the outside wing wheel will back up giving you plenty of room to rotate planter. I can do it on smaller planters too.
I don’t think 24 is enough. Used to do it with the 12 row planters. Still think a 16 is practical if your are still picking 8. Sidedress bars are royally expensive on 24.
