Local sale barn thruout winter has been $3-4/bale but with the cold snap it jumped to $7/bale. Big weight difference between twine and wire tied bales though. Last summer I sold twine bales for $2-2.50/bale. Neighbor also square baled some for half. Have 36 acres this year I plan to ask $.05/lb if big baled and they do the baling.
What’s a fair straw price?
