MN | Don’t waste money giving it to a broker.
Take half, divide it by the remaining months of the year and invest it equally on the same day of the month in a vanguard S&P Mutual fund.
Use the other half to pick stocks or etfs of your own choosing and try to beat the market. If you have a basket of stocks 4-5 you remove almost all of the unsystemic risk.
I think it’s fun doing my own research and trying to beat the S&P 500.
