Coaldale, Alberta, Canada

Sounds like a solid start. Wished I knew a lot of this stuff when we switched over. All I would add at this time is think carefully on what species you plant in your cover crops. On our full season covers (green manure) we planted oats, peas, lentils, sorghum, flax, brown mustard, phacelia, kale, italian ryegrass, faba, and a couple more I can't remember. Total about 110 lbs/ac. Also, after a couple years you should be able to back off on fert and some chems, especially if you can manage covercrops and weeds with grazing. I wish you all the best, keep us posted.
