I like a simple rye seeding. On pivot ground I like to put on 50# around 20th of Aug with plane. Its early but I likely will be making another round or two with pivot if I don't get a rain to germinate. Good size going into winter.

We also run cows thru the stocks- you don't have to own them, lots of people looking to rent stocks if you are willing to put up a hot wire and provide some water. Eliminates that $5 per acre for tapout to kill the volunteer corn in next years beans.
