NE Iowa | Apparently it was a 'group of investors' that were working to buy land and rights to buy feed and area to spread manure from a local guy who had 1 building himself and the "ideal" location. Permits were not all obtained before starting, and then DNR and local pressure started mounting up. Original plans were to custom feed for others, and be up-and-running within 12-18 months or so. That would have been starting to populate buildings in summer 2017. Site was all worked and buildings constructed, but before any cattle put in, heard the investors backed-out. Not sure of details, lots of hear-say. | |
