Could there be a response to this other than incorporation?
There was a thread here some time ago that addressed nutrient stratification and how it may be a good thing to have P&K in the upper layer of soil. Might lower rates in no-till be just as effective and address the problem?
It is also difficult for this type of research to address long term effects of run-off and soil loss potential from occasional heavy rain events on tilled fields.
