| Can’t help on the calculation but both our planters have 2 row shut offs. Our airseeder has no shut offs. When we drill anything with our air seeder it’s usually at a 5* angle to the field. So the turn rows on the sides have plenty of double drilling. In the square quarters where we have angled turn rows like this we plan on 3-5% over drill consistently. If the field has any draws, curved end rows, etc. That number goes up. It’s not uncommon to drill a 160 acre FSA field and have an applied map come in at 168. IMO they are worth every penny. If we drilled more acres we would put them on our air seeder too. | |
