One other kink to throw into your calculations is during a dry year the doubled up corn population yields way less HERE. Was not very noticeable with a 6 row planter but after going to a 16 row the yield loss really hit me. It did not take long to pay for clutches with both the seed savings and reduced loss from over planting. Lots of point rows and odd shaped fields here.
